This week my faith in the music industry has been revived, thanks to the sudden success of M.I.A.
Just when you thought that the charts are only for American Idols and X-factor winners here we have someone with an actual OPINION on SOMETHING! (Shocker!), we also have a Diva that has really let everyone down due to her hooker-ish shenanigans and much, much more.
Refreshing
“Paper Planes” is the 3rd single from M.I.A’s album “Kala”. This song has been around for some time but has just now become popular in the States and now is receiving quite a bit of airplay in the U.K. This song is so good that it played in the theatrical trailer for ‘Pineapple Express” AND has been covered by Rhianna. (o.k the last one isn’t that big a deal) And it’s also used as the theme tune for a new comedy pilot “Think Tank” shown on E4in the U.K.
So why the hell is this song so popular? Well, to me it sounds pretty refreshing. it sounds like nothing on the radio. Not only is the song pretty catchy but the lyrics make quite a statement. Not only do you hear gun shots in the chorus but you also hear cash registers, this has pissed MTV off so much that they banned the original video for the song. I think that just the fact that M.I.A exists makes me happy instead of having to listen to Miley “Fuckface” Cyrus. Download this song and you will not be disappointed!

Vomit anyone?
So from someone with an actual interest in her music to someone that could care less about the singles she releases we have Mariah “In Love” Carey. I’m sorry but the cover of this single made me hate people in love even more, (yes I’m bitter so the fuck what?)
This is the 4th single from Mariah’s “E=shit” album, and lets just say that as singles continue to come they DO NOT get any better. What happened to the Mariah that brought a tear to my eye singing “Vanishing” or even “Lead the Way” is better than this generic, R&b-lite, piece of shit. I’m sure that if the cover of the single is gross, people prepare yourself for the video. I’m sure it will be Mariah ice skating with hooker shoes while butterflies and rainbows all dance around her in a sea of never ending love…………..NO THANK YOU.

The Dance Record Of The Year.
This to me is probably the best dance record of the year and it’s being released this week in the U.K. Cyndi Lauper really out did herself with this song and the entire album “Bring Ya to the Brink”. This is the song Madonna should have released instead of the poop-inducing “4 minutes”.
I don’t know what it is about this song that makes me want to strip. The video is A-MAZIN. We can see Ms. Lauper shaking her booty with Porn Hottie Colton Ford in a hot sweaty club, YUMMY! Cyndi proves to all other divas out there that you don’t have to follow any trends to make stellar music. Download this NOW!

Single Of The Week:
Hurts So Good.
So this is Colton Ford and before you say anything, YES he is a Pron Hottie but that’s not what is important here. He actually has an incredible voice and if you don’t believe and wanna hate listen to this 1st. Now the video is questionable due to the fact that there are shots of him singing through a glory hole…hmmm you can take the boy out of porn but ya cant take porn outta the boy.
Well he has released about three single and they haven’t been exactly been burning up the charts. But there is something to be said for someone that has changed his career at 45 to take on the harsh world of music.His latest single “Tug Of War” is actually quite good and the video is quite good quality. The song sounds a bit “Give It to Me” except the video doesn’t look like it was done in 5 minutes. If you skip to 3:02 of the song you can really see him blow… (hmm not sure that sounded right given the porn background) This guy can SING! “Tug Of War” is not bad there is one song that he duets with New York Underground Gay Boy Cazwell “That’s Me” which is a personal fave. It’s very underground-y sounding. The video is beyond hot and there is quite a bit of skin on display but for someone who’s dick has been plastered in about 100 pornos this is actually quite classy. I have not heard Gay clubs play his songs here which is kinda strange cos shouldn’t Gays support Gay artist instead of all the other shit that it out there? Check it out below.
