"OMFG! I bet you like, have like, no idea who I am!"
O.k, So I’m fine with Mtv showing no music at all, but what really pisses me off are these “reality” shows that are about as real as the myth of a nice, friendly lesbian.
I NEVER watched Laguna Beach and I really had no time for ‘The Hills” but I did manage to see one episode and that was just enough for me. ALL of the characters were so unlikeable & miserable that not even the fact that I hated them made me want to watch. From that show we now have a new form of “celebrity” that are famous for being “themselves” on a “REAL” T.V show.
One character in particular came through with bright and shinning colors as THE MOST ANNOYING PERSON IN RECENT HISTORY and that person is: Heidi Montag. If you don’t know her than you are very, very lucky. If you do know the name then you, like me, probably hate the bitch with a passion. This skank and her BF (who I will not name, due to the fact that the annoying-ness meter would be far too high for one post) have made a 3 million dollar fortune on the show and her “other’ ventures. To take her annoying self known world wide she is a now a “singer” and is working with David Foster (sellout). She has also stated that she is interested in releasing a Christian album. Hmmm…let’s take a closer look, shall we Heidi, well with song titles such as, “Touch Me”, “One More Drink”, “Overdosin’”and of course the Jesus classic “OMFG!”, I’m sure Christians will welcome you with open arms.
OK, so now we have to deal with another crap show which a spin off of this other shit. “The City” and is it ever a stinker. Who the hell watches this shit? It features the life of Whitney Port (who?) and her “Big Move’ from the “sleepy” city of L.A to the fast paced city life of New York. I sat through 10 minutes and I just had an overwhelming sensation of wanting to hurl. The main idea of the show is “like, about this like, girl who, like, works for this totally important fashion designer, and she like meets this, like, totally hot guy and she falls for him and the guy like, didn’t tell her he had, like a girlfriend and she was like, OMFG! My life, like sucks!”
Yes, that is the main idea, if that can even be considered and idea. 2 questions come to mind, 1.) Do people actually watch this shit? and 2.) Why? So I’m left to ponder this all important question. Mtv has gone from a channel that was “all music, all the time” to all shit, all the time.
