My fucking God was it difficult to keep an interest in last nights Shit Brit Awards. It was the most boring award show I’ve seen, and I’ve seen my fair share of these crappy shows. Hosted by Kylie and 2 other guys (whom I had no idea who they were) this show was a mix of bad jokes and very orange faces. Poor Kylie tried to make things interesting but there was nothing she could do to save this parade-o-crap.
Well, to make a long story short let me just give you a quick wrap of what happened last night. Katy Perry won an award for “Best” international Female and wore a Hello Kitty outfit that even Mimi Carey would stay away from. Kanye “let me teach U how 2 use the word Gay” West also won an award for Best International Annoying Asshole. Girls Aloud won for Single of The Year for “The Promise” and then after that I kinda tuned out cos I was eating and my chicken burger was providing me with more entertainment.
The “Live” performances were not all Live. Take That mimed their way through “The Greatest Day” and wore the most bizarre outfits, I mean looking like geeky old farts is not a good look & don’t even get me started on the set they were “singing” on. Girls Aloud tried to do their best but ended up by looking like has-been Vegas Showgirls. After we had The Ting Tings and Estelle doing a mash-up of their hits and it was not good. I don’t know why Estelle hired a make-up artist that hates women so much, poor love looked like a cross between a reject from Rupaul’s Drag Race & a drunk raccoon. Duffy did her thing and at least she sang live. Finally The Pet Shop Boys did a medley of their hits with my beloved little skank-o-licious Lady Gaga but she pretty much brought nothing new to the table. Oh Gaga, you can now always count on her for wearing outfits that leave you wondering what broke down crack whore designed this hot mess?
Oh and a couple of things: Who the hell is Elbow? and Who listens to Iorn Maiden? I did not get that memo. If you didn’t catch the Brits you missed NOTHING ,in fact you saved yourself a whole lot of head scratching & that my dears is ALWAYS a good thing.
Here are the Pet Shop Boys with their performance, which features almost all their classics and was a nice little trip down “your fucking old” lane.
