Iowa Couple Married.
Yes it is! Just when you thought that EVERYONE in Iowa was either dumb or fucking their cousin they go and do this. Iowa’s supreme court has voted that Gay marriage can take place in the state.
All of this started when 6 same sex couples who had applied for marriage licences were denied. These couples were so pissed off that they challenged the state law that said that a marriage could only be between a man and a woman.
The court wrote in a summary of their decision:”The Iowa statute limiting civil marriage to a union between a man and a woman violates the equal protection clause of the Iowa Constitution.”
I’m very happy that the 200 Gay people in Iowa can get married. But that is not enough! I mean, let’s face it, when you think of Gay you don’t think of Iowa. There is pretty much nothing there! I’m not doggin’ it but how about states where a LARGE number of Gays live? What rights do they have?
Iowa is the third state where gay marriage is legal, behind Massachusetts and Connecticut.
