C'mon In!
Well, Summer is less than a week away and of course that means that most of us will be wearing fewer clothes. BUT just because we will be wearing less does not mean we can’t look stylish.
For me Summer is all about feeling and looking relaxed no matter what. Be it at work or at the park the most important thing is: COMFORT. I really hate feeling all stuffy and just uncomfortable when it’s hot. Granted, it doesn’t get too hot in London but if you’re taking the tube in the Summer you will be feeling a lot of safari heat.
I wanted to take a look at some of the great fashion out there for us Gays and today I will focus on Urban Outfitters. The thing I like about them is that they make young, hip clothing without looking like a trend victim. I will be taking a look at this summers “must-haves” from this store.
HAWT!
This funky “Swag bag” (£18.00) is a must for the Summer. We are always carrying shit around and sometimes, we just need somewhere to put it all in and sorry boys, but it needs to be something other than a back-pack! So if you wanna take your crap around town in style make sure you got a cute tote bag to boot. This comes the words ‘Swag” or “Old Bag,” but seriously who wants to walk around with “Old Bag” written on anything you are wearing. Go for the “Swag” one.
Sleek & Smart.
These cotton shorts (£50.00) are a classic. They can be dressed up or down. So it makes them a very versatile buy. When buying shorts for work/going out always stay away from any “Hawaiian” patterns cos they just make you look a tad too casual. The thing I like about these is that not only do they look sleek and modern but they are also very comfortable to wear. This one is a no brainer. If you don’t like beige they also come in navy.
Smart!
Pair this t-shirt (£39.00) with the cotton shorts and you have got yourself an a-mazing work outfit that is not only cool but very office friendly as well. The important thing here is, keeping some formal items (such as the tie) with the casual-ness of the t-shirt and shorts. If you feel that you can’t wear the shorts then you could always use this with a dark pair of jeans.

This Y neck tee ( £20.00) is the halfway point between formal tee and casual tee. I love this one. The color is great and the white detail gives it a little bit of pop for the eyes. This can also be used with the cotton shorts or with a pair of jeans.

A bit of fun never hurt anyone and that is exactly what these retro shirts (£32.00) are. FUN! Well, maybe they aren’t that fun but they do look pretty cool. There is s huge selection of retro and non-retro tee’s. It all pretty much depends on what you like. These are great for just hanging out and grabbing a bite, shopping, you know everyday stuff.
I will be looking for more cool stuff to bring you this Summer. Remember Gays it’s not about spending a lot of money, it’s about buying those key pieces that can be mixed and match to give you the most bang for your buck!
