HOLY CRAP! It’s been a while since I’ve done my Week In Singles section and I have SOOO missed doing it! I have been so busy and there has been an OVERFLOW of new music that my Gay little head doesn’t know where to start! BUT I have managed to get it together, so let’s get it started!
After the “Boom, Boom. POW” I really wasn’t expecting much from the B.E.P. That song was just so fucking annoying that I had totally written them off. That is until I heard their new single “I Gotta Feelin.” This song has a raw dancey feel (thanks to the production of David Guetta) that makes it one of their best singles in a LONG time.
The other thing that this song has going for it are the lyrics. It’s a very positive up-beat song that is pre-night-on-the-town-perfect. It’s all about how you have a feeling tonight is gonna be a great night and all the dicks you’re gonna suck… you know the usual night out for a Gay.
One thing I will say is WTF did Fergie do to her face and body in the video? She looks human! I really think that the airbrushing crew worked over-time to get her funk under control.
My Rating: 4 and a half jizz-spewing-cocks!
Oh Cassie, where did things go wrong for you? I mean she had SO MUCH promise! Sure she couldn’t even sing “Mary Had A Little Lamb” but she had one of the hottest songs in the last 10 years with “Me & U” and the equally brilliant ” Long Way 2 Go.”
Well, that was 2006, fast forward to 2009 and Cassie has released several unsuccessful singles, shaved half of her hair off, and now just recently her lady muffin has been making the rounds on the net. Now, I gotta ask, Why? Cassie, Why?
She has now released “Must be Love” a new single off of her forthcoming “Electro-Love” album and while the song is not awful there is def nothing special about it. It’s a bit too breezy for it’s own good and the fact that P.Diddy is “rapping” on it really does not help matters either. The only thing I can say, is that the video is pretty steamy and that is about it.
My Rating: 2 and a half slight stiffies.
If there were ever a title that would suit a song to perfection, then Cascada’s “Evacuate The Dancefloor” would have that shit on lock-down! I never really knew that she was still even releasing songs! I thought that “Everytime We Touch” was really it for her.
Well, sadly for all of us with ears, she is back with her 3rd album and this shit-fest of a single. You can really smell the desperation here as this song sounds like almost EVERYTHING that is popular now. There’s a bit of Gaga in there, there’s a bit of Britters in there, it’s as if she just said “I NEED TO BE PLAYED ON THE RADIO AT ANY COST!”
There is absolutely no personality in this song whatsoever. I mean it could be ANYONE singing this shit. It’s all just a tad too familiar, which is why I think it will most likely be a hit but not because it is any good.
My Rating: 5 flaccid dysfunctional erectile cocks.
Single Of The Week:
David Guetta’s “When Love Takes Over” has been out since April and is just now FINALLY getting the recognition it so rightly deserves. The song features none other than one of Destiny’s Children, Kelly Rowland and she totally kills it in this song! Kelly has this warm tone to her voice that suits dance music so perfectly that this is truly a match made in heaven.
Everyone always goes on about Beyonce, but I think that when it comes to quality of voice Kelly really does give Beyonce a run for her money. This pairing really was the best thing for her. After last years HUGE success of “Work (Freemasons Remix)” she knew that her destiny was 1. Dance music and 2. in the loving arms of the Gays. Yes, we Gays LOVE us some Kelly Rowland and lets face it, if you make dance music AND the Gays like you, then you’ll be bigger than Leo Giamani’s cock. Trust me, I’m Gay I know.
Enjoy the brilliant video, with the Brilliantly Beautiful Miss. Kelly.
