In 1992 Carmen Electra decided to take her own brand of funk to the music scene and released an album that only myself and maybe Carmen’s me-maw bought. The entire project was produced by Prince and included such gems like “Go-Go Dancer,” “Everybody Get On Up,” and my favorite strip pole classic “Fantasia Erotica.” Of course Carmen could not really sing so she “rapped” and she had KLASSY lyrics such as “Oh speak American? No, speak Carmenese.” What a smart cookie!
After more than 15 years Carmen has decided that she really has very little left to lose and she is releasing her 2nd album entitled “C-17″ and it will be released October 2009. The first single is set to be “Who Do You Think You Are?” which the producer described as “gritty and intense.” I think he was referring to Carmen’s pussy and not her music, but then again who knows, with this one.
I’m all for this and I’m VERY, VERY excited to have this grand dame of sluttiness back on the music scene where she belongs! Are you still doubtful? Well, then I leave you with her 1993 “hit,” a song that made me follow MY dreams of becoming a thoughtless, home-wrecking, pole-dancing whore, “Go, Go Dancer.” WORK!
