I really don’t know what is more frustrating, the fact that The Saturdays are a “band” that only sounds good on a CD or the fact that they can’t get their shit together to perform LIVE. After that horrible performance on the Paul O’grady show, I’m kinda on the fence about these girls. One thing I will say is that whomever is doing their promo pics knows what he is doing. The cover for their 2nd album “Wordshaker” is quite a-mazing. They are still doing their color scheme thing which is good cause it kinda sets them apart from other girl groups out there.
The first single “Forever Is Over” is very fresh and sounds like a leap forward in their sound. I don’t particularly like it very much but I think it’s a good thing that these chicks are trying to try something different. Of course The Saturdays have a great production team behind them and they have taken their first single and given it to the Buzz Junkies and they remixed it into a foot-stomping-electro-queer-fest. Hopefully the album will have a more dancey feel cos these girls need to know their place.
