You don’t have to live at the gym in order to be fit. There are some simple things you can do in order to be in shape. I was working out yesterday at Y.M.C.A London (I know, I know, I’m too Gay for my own good!) and I asked this hot Personal Trainer Stan, what were some of his quick tips to become fit, or just fitter and he gave me 6 great tips, and being that I want to give back to my community I tell you what they are.
1. Drink Water. Yes, you have heard that one before, but drinking water has a direct effect on your energy levels and how your brain works. If you are working out and sweating drink more water and you will definitely feel the difference.
2. Get A Work-Out Buddy. We all know that working out can get a bit boring and if there is no-one there to cheer you on you will most likely just give up and stop. That is why it is important to get a work out bud. It also makes gym time more fun. (especially if he’s hot) If you don’t have a bud that you can work out with then, check to see if your gym offers fitness classes, they are a great way to meet people and you could possibly meet your workout buddy.
3. Walk. Walking just for 20 minutes a day can increase your fitness level. You can burn calories that would normally stay stuck to your belly. A great way to get a good walk is to get off the bus or tube stop, one stop before yours. Or if you can walk to work. Stan says you’ll notice the difference in a month.
4. Stretch. This will improve your fitness in a big way. Yoga and Pilates are forms of stretching that actually are a workout in themselves. They can improve your strength, flexibility and burn off pounds.
5. Take Your Lunch To Work. If you usually have junk for lunch at work then taking the time to make your own lunch is a good way to keep your junk food intake, in check. Your wallet and your waistline will thank you very much at the end of the month.
And finally my favorite one:
6. Have MORE Sex. Sex burns 50 to 100 calories and hour, so it can actually provide a great workout. It can improve muscle strength, flexibility and stamina. So get to shagging!
