Can someone answer me this: What the hell is Valentines Day ALL about? Why do people have to prove their love for someone on this one specific day? I mean call me a greedy bitch but shouldn’t you appreciate your partner all the time and not just on some stupid day that it is decided you should tell your loved one that you love them and get them all kinds of crap that NO ONE really needs. I mean how many teddy bears holding hearts that say “I Love You” does one really need? I know, I don’t need anymore.
The thing I hate most though is when people ask “oh so what are you getting your boyfriend for Valentines day?” or even worse “What did your boyfriend get you for Valentine’s day?” and there you have to explain the entire situation that you don’t really buy the entire “Valentine’s day” thing and then people just see you as a bitter fag who is probably single.
But I just say if you are single don’t let all this “Love”, “Be Mine” crap get you down cos if you’re single now, you’ll be single tomorrow and the day after, or you could meet someone or not, but just cos it’s this day doesn’t MEAN anything. If you’re not single don’t take Valentine’s day as a day to make up for being a dick every other day of the year and think that by buying a present will get you off the hook and then tomorrow you can just go back to being a dick.
Act correct and treat the person you are with right ALL the time. NUFF SAID.
