I almost creamed my floral panties when I saw that one of my favourite comedy shows of all time was On Demand. Yes, I could only be talking about, “The Comeback.”
This was Lisa Kudrow’s show for HBO back in 2005 and while it was stupidly cancelled after 1 very short season (13 episodes!) Kudrow’s character, Valarie Cherish immediately obtained ICON status. (Well, at least in my mind!)

This show really did deserve at least 2 full seasons. I think the show was pretty ahead of its time. It was filmed as “raw footage” for Valarie Cherish’s reality show called “The Comeback” and it chronicled her day to day life and having to come to terms with the fact that she was no longer the popular, young, fresh talent, she once was when she had her moment on her hit 1992 TV series, “I’m It!”
It featured some very uncomfortably hilarious moments and Kudrow’s acting was just so on point that she was nominated for an Emmy in 2006 for this role.
One of the reasons that I love this show so much is that you really do believe it is a “reality” show. You totally forget that it’s Lisa Kudrow from Friends, she just brings to life this character with so many dimensions. If you have not seen this show yet I would strongly recommend you do whatever you can (rob a store, rob a bank, rob your grandmother… who cares!) and watch it. Trust me, when I saw it I just watched all 13 episodes back to back.
