The Saturdays are back and they are releasing their 3rd “mini” album “Headlines” sometime this August. These chicks are really getting all messy with their releases. After their 2nd album “Wordshaker” things got a bit rocky for the girls. I don’t understand why. Everything was going pretty well with this album. “Forever Is Over” debuted at no.2 and the second single “Ego” peaked at no.9 and went on to be their 2nd biggest selling single of their career. So what the fuck? Why only release only 2 singles off of a good album?
“Here Standing” is an instant classic from “Wordshaker” and was planned as the album’s 3rd single but was scrapped. This, to me, has been the stupidest thing that they could have done cos that song would have been another top 10 hit if not no.1.
Well, they are releasing this new single “Missing You” in August as well and I have to say I’m not that big of a fan. There is something that I just don’t get about the song. It’s not bad, but I don’t think it’s better than anything on their last effort. Who knows what this will do for the girls but they better get their shit together and “Headlines” better be amazing!
