O.k So the song is out and reactions across the web have spread like wild fire. Most like it but there are more than a few people saying that Lady Gaga ripped off Madonna again cos it sounds too much like “Express Yourself.”
I don’t get why people always have to drag Madonna into every fucking thing. I mean OF COURSE almost every female artist is going to want to emulate her, I mean she is the most famous singer in the world! Who would want to get some of her goods? Obviously there is always gonna be some shade thrown on to Gaga’s patch but I think it’s bull shit.
Yes, Gaga can be annoying but she makes good pop music and at the end of the day isn’t that what we all just want from her? The fact that she’s got a message behind what she says is great but if the music were crappy would she have gotten to be this famous? I hardly think so.
Now, on to the song. It starts off right off the bat with a bang and I think this is exactly how is should have been. But the music totally takes a backseat to the lyrics. The combo works amazingly and I really like the fact that Gaga is putting this out there right now with the state of things in the US surrounding Gays and people who are different in general. Will it change the world? No. Will it set gay clubs on fire for YEARS to come? What do you think?
