I seriously don’t know what the Speedy Gonzalez is going on with “Don’t Call Me J.Lo on Second Thought It’s O.k” Jennifer Lopez. Her musical offerings recently have been just beyond crap and the crappy cherry on top was “On The Floor” which of course was her biggest hit in like ever! I can say most people have no musical tastes whatsoever!
Well, things to be going pretty well for this picante Latina. She was named “People’s” most beautiful woman or person in the world, and of course she is on that shit-fest also known as American Idol so it was bound to raise her status from flop-maker to shitty single maker. I have to say her PR people have brought her back from the brink really. She has now released her second single from “Love?” and it just doesn’t get ANY better.
“Papi” is a dance-floor stinker and plays to every Latin cliche there could ever be, with a spoken Spanish part that sends chills up and down “mi espalda mojada!” I just don’t get why she has decided to go down this road. It’s so tacky and ghetto even for J.Lo standards. The beat is boring, the same ole, same ole lyrics. I mean I am not looking for innovation from her but Jesus woman, change the record already!
Have a listen and try to hold on to your chimmichangas. I couldn’t so I gotta go clean up the mess!
