If you read my blog at all you will know that I am obsessed with 2NE1. These chicks are just so fucking bad-ass! They’ve got sass, style and loads of uh-mazing tunes that are HUGE hits in the Orient but they so deserve to be even bigger hits in the West!
They started in 2009 with their first mini-album with their single “Lollipop” and they were an immediate hit in Korea and eventually in Japan where they are also now household names. They then released their full length album “To Anyone” and again this was a major hit but this established them as consistent hit makers and they were everywhere signing endorsements with Adidas and other Korean companies.
I think one of the things that stands out most about these feisty lovelies is their fashion sense and not afraid to look uber-glam and then dress down and look hip-hop chic. Trust me that is a very hard thing to do cos you could just end up looking ghetto and there ain’t nothing good about looking broke!
So now they have released their 2nd mini-album and they have released all 6 songs as singles and they are all amazing but none more amazing than “I am The Best.” This has been their finest moment looks-wise and of course musically. Their latest single “Ugly” is dedicated to all those that peeps out there that feel they might not be the best looking but these gurlz say to hell with that and you gotta feel pretty no matter what. Or that is what the translation says cos you know I don’t speak the Korean lingo.
They plan to release their full 2nd album sometime next year and you all know it’s going to be on fucking fire so for now I leave you with their latest video “Ugly.” So now ENJOY!!
